Personality: He's very much an introvert, a person who can be totally content if he's got just one important person in his life. For a long time, that person was his brother, Jae, and so long as he felt he was getting an adequate amount of attention from his twin, the rest of the world could move it to the left. Now that Jae is gone, his girlfriend, Rhea, has filled that place. Stand-offish and taciturn, Hyun makes a terrible first impression, which isn't greatly improved by getting to know him. Unless you're really persistent or Hyun is really lonely, it's hard to get five words out of the man.
Years of dealing with scientists and their tests, as well as deferring to his brother's answers to a fault, has led him to treating his life like an exceptionally realistic television show. It's hard for Hyun to connect, live in the moment, unless he's dealing with AM business. He's the most straight-laced, timid adrenaline junkie you'll ever come across. Hyun considers 'living dangerously' to mean riding his vespa with his headphones on or trying to snag a piece of bacon straight out of the griddle- a strange answer for someone who's passed FBI agent training with flying colors, but once you see just how determined Hyun is to complete his goals, it starts to make sense. His personal life, fun, girls, whatever, none of that's worth the risks. But he has to live up to Jae's memory. He has to be success enough for the both of them.
Troubled by an inferiority complex, Hyunsoo is always trying to improve himself. He works out religiously, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, tries to eat well (it's hard when crackling bacon is a siren's song), even checks out books from the library he hasn't a chance of understanding just to enrich his mind. Even with all he's accomplished, Hyun believes that the wrong twin died; Jae would've achieved so much more. It isn't something he'll ever admit to- that'd be pathetic. But it's always there in the back of his head.
But beneath all that, he's a slacker at heart. If he can talk himself into shutting down the guilt-ridden portions of his brain, Hyun is happiest munching on some (relatively) healthy snacks, playing Halo with a guy from Tanzania. He's a terrible insomniac and spends most his nights doing just that, or marathoning a TV show. Hyun does his best to hide this kind of behavior, since it makes him look like a loser, but... He's totally unwilling to give it up. Most of the time, Rhea and the TV are the only things that keep him from hating the world.
Other traits include (cause I'm trying not to ramble): awkwardness, bad taste (in everything- clothes, music, colors... He's the kind of guy who can wander into a movie theatre, pick a show at random and always leave entertained), a need to exaggerate things (if some guy bumps into him on the street, you'll never believe it! Some gangster just knocked him over for no reason! etc.) and a certain... leeriness. Girls, boys, doesn't matter. Might not even be sexual, but the boy stares and only ever notices that he's been staring when it's too late to casually look away.

Physical description: TOWERING AT THE GREAT HEIGHT OF 6'0", this bundle of limbs and hair comes in a lean package. Armed with his inferiority complex and a pathological need to be all that he can possibly be, Hyun is ripped. Not in a scary steroid-y way, but you could probably teach a class in anatomy and physiology just by asking him to take his shirt off. He's worked hard for this definition and, if it's ever socially acceptable to pop his top off, the top is getting popped.
Pale skin and a mop of messy dark hair matched with deep, sleepy brown eyes give him a sullen and moody appearance. When he opens his eyes all the way it has a tendency to make him look dumb. (Un)fortunately for him, he's pretty rubberfaced. When he smiles, it's tight-lipped and with his chin jutting out. It's definitely awkward. His left ear is pierced twice, one through the lobe and one through the crest.
More comfortable in a suit than anything else, Hyun also inherited his brother's wardrobe and it comes as a comfort to sometimes wear things that aren't his style. He tries to split the difference, going business-casual most of the time, though it's possible he does flop on the bed and kick his feet in happiness when it's time to dress up and visit HR. He tries to blend in, but the fact that he may as well be colorblind has lead to some eye-catching outfits.
Well, a team of highly-trained specials dropped out of the sky and fucked up a lot of shit in Victory. He began dating his roommate's best friend, combated the nefarious forces of Ad Finitum, fought with said gf's future son and, yes, wrestled a fire-breathing bear. It was a pretty good year. Then the plague hit. He lost his brother, his brother-in-law, his friends... Hyun and Rhea, with no one else to turn to, grew closer and moved together to New York when AM was temporarily disbanded.
When AM was reformed, he returned with Rhea and cut his ties with the FBI. Despite the glaring holes the plague had caused, it was basically business as usual: cussing out bastard Knights, partying with the trolls in the IT department, caring for the menagerie that shared their apartment, and throwing wet paper towels at the HR staff. this is why people in their early twenties shouldn't be elite government agents
